Brighton will aim to upset champions Liverpool in the Premier League in Saturday’s early kick-off at the Amex Stadium.

Jurgen Klopp’s fatigued side suffered a 2-0 defeat by Atalanta in the Champions League in midweek, and a spate of injuries has left their squad somewhat depleted.

Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Thiago Alcantara are all expected to miss out as Klopp continues to voice his anger with broadcasters over a packed fixture schedule.

Brighton will be hoping to take advantage, with Graham Potter’s side needed to add points to their positive performances so far this season. The Seagulls have taken just nine points from nine games, leaving them in 16th place.
