'Bridgerton' Actor Charithra Chandran Is Levi's Newest Partner

Levi's tapped Bridgerton star Charithra Chandran for its latest Fall/Winter 2022 campaign, making a case for the classic 'jeans and a nice top' combination.

With a focus on capsule wardrobes and reducing consumption, the new campaign seeks to encourage consumers to "Buy Better, Wear Longer" and re-wear their jeans for decades instead of just seasons. Chandran is an avid believer of this philosophy, with constant travel requiring a pretty succinct formula for packing. "Because of work, I'm travelling a lot, so I'm really living out of a suitcase," notes Chandran in a press release.

Speaking about the impact of fashion consumption, the actor adds that "It's important that we really think about the purchases that we make and try to make them as versatile as possible. Which is why jeans and a nice top is such a useful combo. It's literally my favourite thing to wear."

Marking a natural partnership for both Chandran and the brand, the actor reflects on getting her first-ever pair of Levi's jeans at just nine years old. "They were skinny jeans in a dark blue wash. I had saved up all my money and went to buy them myself. It felt like a monumental moment in my life. What's been really fun is growing up and being able to explore different fits of jeans that Levi's has to offer. It's constantly changing: six months ago, I would wear my Ribcage jeans every single day."
