World Cup favourites Brazil were knocked out of the tournament on penalties by Croatia.

Neymar had given Brazil the lead in the first-half of extra time, before Croatia struck back.

The game ended 1-1 after 120 minutes but Brazil came up short in the shoot-out, with two misses to go out 4-2. Neymar did not even take a penalty and was seen in tears after the game had finished.
