World Cup favourites Brazil conclude their group-stage campaign with a fixture against Cameroon at the Lusail Iconic Stadium.

The two sides have had opposing starts to the tournament, with Brazil sweeping aside Serbia and Switzerland to book their place in the last-16 while Cameroon lost to the Swiss and then drew 3-3 with Serbia.

But can Rigobert Song's Cameroon side upset the five-time world champions in their final Group G encounter?

When is the match?

The match between Brazil and Cameroon takes place at 7pm (GMT) on Friday December 2 (10pm in Qatar and 2pm EST).

Where will it take place?

The game will be played in the Lusail Iconic Stadium, the largest stadium in Qatar. The 88,966-seater ground was inaugurated in September when it hosted the Lusail Super Cup. It will host 10 matches during the World Cup, including the final.

Brazil will be familiar with the ground, as it was the host stadium for their first match of the tournament against Serbia. This may afford them a slight advantage over Cameroon who have only played in the Al Janoub Stadium so far.

What TV channel is it on?

The match will be shown live on ITV. You can also stream it on ITVX.

Head-to-head record

Brazil and Cameroon have played each other six times – the first fixture taking place in the 1994 World Cup, and the most recent in an international friendly in 2018.

Brazil have won five and lost just one, with Cameroon's victory sole victory at the Confederations Cup in 2003 when they won 1-0 courtesy of a Samuel Eto'o strike.

What is the latest news?

Brazil struggled without Neymar in their second group game against Switzerland but had enough to secure a spot in the next stage.

Casemiro scored in the 83rd minute to break the deadlock in a game in which Brazil had difficulties creating scoring chances without its main playmaker.

"We knew that it wasn't going to be easy. We had to be patient," Casemiro said. "Out first objective was to advance and we achieved that."

Neymar stayed at the team's hotel treating a right ankle injury sustained in the opener in Qatar. Team doctors have not yet given a timetable on his return, or said if he will return at all.

"We know that Neymar is a great player and that he makes a difference," Brazil defender Marquinhos said. "In difficult moments he takes on the responsibility and creates the opportunities, but we showed once again that we have quality players to make up for his absence."

What are they saying?

Cameroon coach Rigobert Song said he dropped his starting goalkeeper Andre Onana for "disciplinary reasons," against Serbia but didn't give any specifics.

"In a group you need to respect the rules that apply to everybody, and I prefer to ensure that the team takes precedence over individuals," Song said. "If you can't fit in with what's required to be part of a squad, then I do think that you need to step up to the plate and accept responsibility for that."

Song replaced Onana with Devis Epassy, who made only his sixth international appearance.

"I took a risk, I realise that," Song said. "Maybe we're going to have to explain what happened later."

Song said Onana hasn't been kicked out of the squad and didn't rule him out of Cameroon's last group stage match against Brazil on Friday.

"For the time being I've asked him to wait and we'll see if he's going to stay with us," Song said. "It's up to him as well to a certain extent. He's going to have to agree to respect the rules to perhaps come into the squad."

Onana, who has 34 international caps made no comment on the decision except posting the starting lineup, with his notable absence, on Instagram.
