  • Bravo has finally announced the cast and premiere date for The Real Housewives of Dubai.

  • New episodes will drop this summer—and a Bravo fan favorite from another series is returning.

  • Here's everything to know, plus a sneak peek at the series' first trailer:

Between The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, New Jersey, and Orange County, Housewives fans have had a *lot* of drama to watch over the past few months. Now, Bravo has announced that even more episodes are coming in a brand new city.

Long-time Bravo fans know that the network is no stranger to international spin-offs. The Real Housewives of Melbourne aired for five seasons back in 2014, while Ladies of London followed six high-society gals living in the UK for three seasons during the same time.

And soon, the Housewives franchise is coming to a completely new continent. The highly-anticipated Real Housewives of Dubai series finally has a cast and a premiere date, plus a brand new trailer—and there's a lot to catch up on before new episodes start to air.

Here's absolutely everything you need to know about #RHODubai:

The series will follow six women living in the United Arab Emirates.

Dubai will become the eleventh city in the Housewives franchise, according to Entertainment Weekly.

"Turns out all that glitters IS gold ✨ 👀 👀 The new Housewife royalty has arrived, and they're taking over Dubai!" Bravo captioned its first sneak peek at the show on Instagram:

And, the cast has already been announced.

Here are all of the names you need to know:

  • Caroline Stanbury

  • Nina Ali

  • Chanel Ayan

  • Caroline Brooks

  • Dr. Sara Al Madani

  • Lesa Milan

Fans will recognize Caroline Stanbury from her time starring in Ladies of London. Now, Caroline has moved to Dubai with her new husband, former professional soccer player Sergio Carallo.

The new cast also includes a supermodel, a former Miss Jamaica, a fashion entrepreneur, and more.

New episodes will drop this summer.

The Real Housewives of Dubai will officially premiere on Bravo on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, the network announced. And, the first trailer promises some seriously gasp-worthy moments.

Here's a sneak peek at what's to come:

Of course, the glitz and glamour is already on a whole new level. But there's also plenty of twists and turns to look forward to—Caroline's wedding, Lena's troubles balancing her work and home life, Chanel's painful past, and more. Oh, and don't forget a cameo from RHOA's very own Phaedra Parks.

But fans have mixed opinions about the new franchise.

Some Bravo fans were confused by the announcement, citing Dubai's laws that discriminate against LGBTQ+ individuals.

In the United Arab Emirates, LGBTQ+ marriages and public displays of affection are illegal. Breaking the laws can result in a prison sentence, according to a report from Out Leadership. Being a member of the LGBTQ+ community is also punishable by death, though the report notes that the death penalty is rarely carried out in the country.

Fans on Twitter had plenty of questions about how Bravo will work around these laws: "How is the real housewives of Dubai going to work when Andy Cohen is gay and homosexuality is a legal and punishable by death? Is the reunion going to take place stateside?" one user asked.

Other users are choosing to boycott the series for similar reasons.

"I just think The Real Housewives of Dubai is a terrible idea. There are plenty of exotic locales Bravo could have chosen from that don’t have so many human rights issues. Pretty much everything we love about Housewives is illegal, not to mention their stance on LGBTQ…" someone else added.

Bravo and Andy Cohen haven't made any statements responding to fans.

The Real Housewives of Dubai premieres on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at 9:00 p.m. EST on Bravo.
