Border testing more 'sensible' than blanket travel ban

The federal government introduced a series of new restrictions at Canada's borders in response to the Omicron variant this week. Part of the new restrictions includes a ban on foreign nationals that have visited 10 African countries within the last 14 days. The list of countries facing the travel ban now includes Egypt, Malawi, Nigeria, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa and Zimbabwe.

On this episode of Editor's Edition, Alicja Siekierska and the Public Policy Forum's Sean Speer dig into the government's new travel restrictions, and what is the most effective policy when it comes to limiting the spread of the Omicron variant.
