What ‘Divergent’ faction do you belong to?

The countdown is officially on! With only one week until “Divergent” (starring Shailene Woodley and Theo James) hits theatres, you’re going to want to know where you fit in with this crowd.

Much like the houses (Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slyterin) at Hogwarts and the districts (1 – 12) in “The Hunger Games” franchise, “Divergent” also divides its citizens. In this dystopian world, the groups are called factions  -- and once you're 16, you get to choose which one to spend your life in. Here’s a lesson on the “Divergent” factions so you can figure out which one you belong to:

Abnegation: The selfless
Key qualities:  You’re always putting the health and well-being of loved ones before yourself, but sometimes people take advantage of you because you’re so generous. You are also usually quiet and don’t like drawing attention to yourself. In your spare time, you enjoy volunteering at a local food bank or soup kitchen.
Celebrity who should be in this faction: Oprah

Amity: The peaceful
Key qualities: Simply put, you’re a tree-hugging peacekeeper. You live a life free of hostility and violence and finding happiness is a top priority for you. You can be found listening to an indie acoustic band in a café that serves only organic and locally produced foods.

Candor: The honest
Key qualities: You’ve got thick skin and think everyone else around you would be better off adopting that style too. You always cut to the chase instead of beating around the bush or sugar coating things. You’re the person that all your friends go to for advice because you don’t mind telling them how it is – even though what you say might cause even more tension.

Dauntless: The brave
Key qualities: You’ve adopted Drake’s motto of “YOLO” (you only live once) because you live every moment to the fullest. You are never home because you’re only purpose in life is to make memories and go on new adventures. You party animal, you!

Erudite:  The intelligent
Key qualities: You’re the straight-A type student that studies hard and puts a lot of effort into presentations but you find it difficult to do it creatively. The perfect Saturday afternoon would include either tutoring your students or browsing Reddit and debunking the falsely informed stories.

Divergent
Key qualities: Drifting between groups of friends isn't a bad thing because you enjoy the company of people that come from all walks of life. Plus, you don't like being pigeon-holed into a "type" of person. You try to take on the best qualities from all the factions.

Factionless
Key qualities: You've always had a tough time fitting in and following the rules. You can be a jerk and you know it but you're not going to change just because someone tells you to.
