See the hilarious alternate opening to ‘Gravity’ that completely changes the movie

Where's Superman when you need him? As anyone who's seen "Gravity" can tell you, Sandra Bullock and George Clooney really could have used the Man of Steel's help during their big space crisis.

Thankfully for them, filmmaker Krishna Bala Shenoi has remixed the opening to "Gravity" with footage from 1987's "Superman IV: The Quest for Peace." The result is a hilarious alternate opening scene that puts an entirely new spin on things. As it turns out, Superman (Christopher Reeve) may have been just as responsible for causing the space disaster as he was for the astronaut eventual rescue.

Shenoi, an acclaimed 20-year-old writer and filmmaker from Bangalore, India, has been posting a lot of his clever videos online. His other work includes this wonderful animated tribute to legendary filmmaker Steven Spielberg.

Shenoi's version certainly means "Gravity" would be a much shorter movie. Just imagine how many other cinematic crises could be solved if only Superman happened to be hanging around!
