‘The O.C.’ star Melinda Clarke hits TIFF 2012: See her now!

It's been five years since Melinda Clarke last terrorized "The O.C." as Julie Cooper, but the actress was on her best behaviour when she resurfaced at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival this week.

Clarke, who played Marissa's mom Julie on "The O.C." from 2003 to 2007, showed up to the 13th Annual InStyle And The Hollywood Foreign Press Association's TIFF party at the Windsor Arms Hotel on Tuesday. The 43-year-old actress, who currently plays interrogator Amanda on "Nikita," sported some new bangs as she posed on the red carpet in a form-fitting gray frock.

Clarke has been busy since leaving the super rich of Orange County behind, claiming recurring roles on no less than five TV shows. She continued to appear as a pro dominatrix on "CSI" and as a version of herself on "Entourage," the HBO series she first appeared on in 2005.

A year after Fox cancelled "The O.C.," Clarke joined the short-lived legal comedy "Eli Stone" as a doctor. Then, in 2010, she became part of the "Vampire Diaries" in the role of Vicki Donovan's mother, Kelly, who discovers her daughter has died when she returns to Mystic Falls. That same year, she joined the cast of "Nikita."

But Clarke clearly still has affection for her Julie Cooper role. In 2010, she gave an interview in which she predicted where Julie, who allegedly got her final season degree in psychology and paranormal studies, would be today.

"I think she probably opened her own business and has been very successful with it," she said. "I don't know if she was able to do anything with her degree or not. Oh my goodness, maybe she's a psychic now, like John Edwards!"
