J.Law on Falling at Oscars for Second Straight Year: 'I Can't Believe That Happened!'

Jennifer Lawrence is keeping up her personal Oscar tradition of falling down.

Yes, for the second straight year, the actress took a digger at the Academy Awards, this time tripping up on the red carpet.

Lawrence didn't blame her red Dior gown or her heels for the most recent tumble, which took place just after she arrived at the Kodak Theatre Sunday. "I did trip over a cone," she said. "I'm not safe."

After recovering Yahoo Movies caught up to her. "Oh my god, I can't believe that happened," she told us, admitting she's still not used to the annual star-studded event.

She then pronounced herself "fine" and scooted inside with her date, boyfriend (and "X-Men" costar) Nicholas Hoult for the start of the ceremony.

And Oscar host Ellen DeGeneres took it from there. Taking time in her opening monologue to poke fun at J.Law, saying, "When you win tonight I think we should bring you the Oscar."

By now the 23-year-old Oscar winner is a pro at recovering. She bounced back up to her feet in a fit of giggles and waved to the crowd without missing a beat.

It's hard to forget when Lawrence fell on the steps of the Oscar stage in 2013 while on her way to accept her first-ever Academy Award for "Silver Linings Playbook."

When Yahoo told Lawrence on Sunday that she had mastered the art of the elegant fall, she smiled: "I'm not sure the 'elegant' part is accurate."

The three-time Oscar nominee has become a meme-generator at awards shows. Aside from last year's fall, the 23-year-old actress inspired a full-on selfie epidemic as fans used bedding and housewares to recreate her white Dior dress from the Golden Globes.

Then there was the 2013 SAG Awards, when her tiered, navy Dior gown came unhinged as she made her way to the stage, blowing up Twitter and Tumblr along the way.
