‘The Dark Knight Rises’ gets a Lego trailer parody

In Hollywood, your film hasn't truly "made it" until it has been parodied on the Internet.

Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight Rises" has already been the subject of hundreds, if not thousands of online parodies -- some good, some bad, and others just plain strange -- but there's a late entry into the game that appears to be vying for the top spot.

Self-proclaimed "brick-based" stop-motion animator Nicolas P, better known by his YouTube handle ParanickFilmz, appears to have spent some months putting together a shot-for-shot remake of the "Dark Knight Rises"' theatrical trailer. What makes this remake so special is that it was painstakingly created entirely out of Lego bricks. It's pretty amazing, but even with the creepy voice, the Lego man version of Bane isn't quite as imposing as Tom Hardy.

Using software to add some computer-generated visuals (made out of CG Lego bricks, no less) and animate the mouths of the Lego figures, the video's creator pretty much nailed everything that made the trailer for Nolan's Bat-finale so great. It's a shame that the finished film couldn't quite live up to the meat version of the trailer, but we'll always have it and this awesome toy brick parody.
