Sudeikis and Kate Hudson pronounced the folks in the Live Action Short category beautifully — unlike John Travolta, who totally butchered Idina Menzel's name before her performance of the Oscar winning song "Let It Go" from the animated Disney feature, "Frozen." Clearly Travolta didn't read his notes!

Oscar Mystery No. 3: Why was Margot Robbie's hair brown?

We're used to seeing "The Wolf of Wall Street" beauty as a blonde, but Robbie went for a look so severe, so goth, it made us do a double take at the 86th Annual Academy Awards, her first time attending the famed ceremony.

Answer: Robbie went dark for purely professional reasons as she is currently filming "Z for Zachariah" in New Zealand. In the film, the 23-year-old Australian actress plays a teenage girl who survives nuclear war in a U.S. town. And apparently her character has brown hair. Due in theaters next year, "Z for Zachariah" also stars the Oscar nominated Chiwetel Ejiofor and Chris Pine.

Oscar Mystery No. 4: Who is Darlene Love?

You know the documentary "20 Feet From Stardom," in which Love was featured, won the Oscar. You know she got up on stage and sang her heart out at Sunday's show. But here's what you may not know...

Answer: Love has enjoyed a long career as a backup singer and a ghost singer. She sang the lead vocals on the 1962 hit "He's a Rebel" — but didn't get credit at the time of its release. She has recorded a string of other hits including "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah” and "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)."

Love was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011 and was one of the featured stars in Phil Spector's legendary Wall of Sound.

Oscar Mystery No. 5: Is Pharrell the first person to wear shorts to the Academy Awards?

Answer: No, Demi Moore donned a pair of biker shorts as part of her 1989 Oscar frock.

Oscar Mystery No. 6: What is the meaning behind the red button on Joseph Gordon-Levitt's suit?

Answer: It’s part of the logo of his production company hitRECord and represents an actual record button on a tape recorder.
