The 2013 Toronto International Film Festival opened Thursday night with the red carpet gala for the WikiLeaks film “The Fifth Estate.” Unsurprisingly, all eyes were on star Benedict Cumberbatch, and hundreds of fans erupted into screams when the “Sherlock” and “Star Trek Into Darkness” star arrived on the red carpet outside “Roy Thompson Hall.” But even among all high-pitched wails from die-hard Cumberbitches (that’s what his fans call themselves!
