Liam Hemsworth Says Superfan Nearly Barfed on Him

When it comes extreme fan behavior, the cast of "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" is catching the brunt of it these days.

Liam Hemsworth, who plays Gale Hawthorne, may have gotten it the worst. Well, almost.

"There was one incident where a girl was hysterically crying," the 23-year-old star told Yahoo Movies on Monday night during the L.A. premiere livestream of "Catching Fire." "I [was] told she collapsed on the carpet," he said, explaining that he tried to help her out by signing his autograph for her.

That just made things worse.

"I signed it and that made her cry more. So I grabbed her and was like 'Oh, I'll give you a hug and make you feel better," he continued.

Yes, it gets worse.

"I gave her a hug and then she almost threw up," Hemsworth said. Close call.

"I'm just making it worse, I'll just leave," he recalled saying.

Hemsworth went on to talk about his brothers [Chris and Luke], who are both actors. But as "Catching Fire" is set to do box-office battle with Chris's "Thor: The Dark World," younger brother Liam insists there is no competition. "People have this idea that we are competitive in some way," he said. "We're so lucky to be doing what we're doing. ... It would be different if we didn't get along."

Lucky to be doing what they're doing, yes. Not so lucky if it ever means getting vomited on by starstruck fans.

"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" his theaters Friday.
