Scandalous stories have been swirling around Martin Scorsese's upcoming film "The Wolf of Wall Street" for a while now. There's a reported scene involving some masochistic martini-drinking in which a waiter is instructed to serve 'em up until someone passes out. There were dueling lawsuits among the film's producers that have recently been settled. And then there's the rumor that leading man Leonardo DiCaprio is not only going to get naked for his role, but he will also appear in a wild sex scene with multiple people (guys and girls!)

So why was DiCaprio spotted kissing Joanna Lumley while filming "Wolf" in New York on Tuesday? At 66 years old, English actress Lumley is best known for her role on British television series "Absolutely Fabulous." (And yes, at 38, DiCaprio is closing in at 30 years her junior.)

Written by Terence Winter ("The Sopranos," "Boardwalk Empire"), we would expect nothing short of a dark, seedy tale in "Wolf" -- reportedly full of drinking, drugs and other elicit behavior. But out of context, it looks more like 1971 May-December romance-themed comedy "Harold and Maude."

The appearance is more than likely deceiving. "Wolf" chronicles the rise and fall of hard-partying '90s stockbroker Jordan Belfort (DiCaprio), who did time for refusing to cooperate with law enforcement when they cracked down on Wall Street corruption in a case involving corporate banking and organized crime.

Based on real life events, we don't yet know how DiCaprio and Lumley's characters link up. (Lumley's character is only listed on IMDb.com as "Patricia" -- no last name -- making it difficult to place her in Belfort's life story.)

A slew of other stars are in the Scorsese flick, including, Matthew McConaughey, Jonah Hill, Jon Favreau, Spike Jonze and even Rob Reiner. There are also a lot of young, attractive ladies -- some of whom we strongly suspect will be making out with Leo, too; including fresh face Margot Robbie -- in case you're not into the older woman thing.

Marking the fifth Scorsese film DiCaprio has starred in, "Wolf" is due in theaters next year.
