Harrison Ford Takes a Tequila Shot and Pierces Jimmy Fallon’s Ear

He's played a blade runner, an adventure-seeking archaeologist, and Han Solo, but Harrison Ford has just taken on his most dramatic role yet—as Jimmy Fallon's ear piercer. During an appearance on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon," the Oscar-nominee (who has rocked an earring since we can remember) arrived ready to give the host some bling of his own. Technically, Harrison was on the show to promote his new film, "Ender's Game," but upgrading Fallon's ability to accessorize was a much higher priority.

Clad in a white lab coat, the iconic actor assured a somewhat jumpy Fallon not to worry.

"It's not gonna hurt… me," Ford quipped before placing a towel around Jimmy's shoulders and explaining it was "just to catch the blood."

The 39-year-old host looked moderately concerned as Harrison picked up a clear glass of what he described as "a topical anesthetic"—and then proceeded to drink it. (Because it was actually a shot of tequila.)

"My wife is gonna love this," Fallon cooed as Harrison readied the needle.

"Are you sure about that?" the thesp asked.

"No, not at all," Jimmy laughed. "She's gonna be so mad. She's gonna be mad… I'm gonna call her right after the show and just tell her what's going on."

Though Fallon was visibly shaking, Ford proved to have a steady hand as he marked the spot and pierced the need through. He completed Fallon's new look by putting in his first earring: a dangly red feather with plenty of sparkle.

As for the story behind Ford's earring, it isn't nearly as dramatic. "It was a friend of mine's birthday, and we had kind of a long lunch," the 71-year-old star recalled. He noticed that both his friends had earrings so he got one to match.

No word yet from Fallon's camp on whether his better half likes his new look or not, but something tells us if that feather earring ever leaves the Fallon house again, it's because Nancy is wearing it.
