Robin Williams and Mila Kunis Make a Splash in 'The Angriest Man in Brooklyn' Trailer

Let's play a little word association. If we say "Robin Williams," chances are the go-to adjective you come up with is a synonym for "manic": excitable, animated, kinetic, hyperactive, or crazy — which is even in the title of his TV series. But "angry"? Not likely. Though that might soon change.

Williams gets to be both furious and fast in the trailer premiere for "The Angriest Man in Brooklyn," the upcoming comedy from director Phil Alden Robinson ("Field of Dreams," "Sneakers"). In the film, Williams plays against type as Henry Altmann, a Brooklynite whose corrosive attitude has alienated him from his wife, brother, son, and friends. After a car wreck puts him in the hospital, his young doctor, Sharon Gill (Mila Kunis), discovers he has a brain aneurism. With Henry berating her, Dr. Gill snaps and tells him he only has 90 minutes to live. So he runs off in a panicked attempt to make things right with his family before time runs out.

If anyone has the right to feel perturbed, it's Williams and Kunis, who demonstrated their committment to the film by actually wading into New York City's notoriously polluted East River to film a scene in the movie. The film crew did take precautions to make sure their stars were safe, though. Kunis dunked her head in a bucket of clean water on the shore before getting in, so she didn't have to submerge her entire head.

Both actors were also wearing wet suits under their costumes to fight off the cold. The chilly dip didn't do much to dampen their spirits, as Williams was photographed between takes with a towel on his head and a big smile on his face.

Also starring Peter Dinklage (Golden Globe winner for HBO's "Game of Thrones) as Henry's brother and Melissa Leo (Academy Award winner for "The Fighter") as his estranged wife, "The Angriest Man in Brooklyn" will be in select theaters and available on demand on May 23.
