If Chicago Blackhawks prospect Artur Kayumov was looking for a little bit of time off during the holiday season, then mission accomplished.

The 20-year old’s recklessness during a game for Yaroslavl Lokomotiv earned him a 13-game suspension from the KHL.

In the contest against Jokerit Helsinki, Kayumov delivered an ugly headshot to Jesper Jensen along the boards. After the referees skated to the play to break up an ensuing fight, the Russian forward threw a punch at one of the officials.

His immediate discipline was a five-minute major for the careless check and a pair of game misconducts.

Kayumov was the 50th overall pick in the 2016 NHL Draft, and while Chicago currently owns his NHL rights, he has yet to sign a contract with the club. The winger has four goals and seven assists in 35 KHL games this year with 55 penalty minutes.
