Modern power moves this classic muscle car.

The second-generation Chevy Chevelle is one of America’s most famous muscle cars. This has largely become the case through their use in various restorations, modifications, and other automotive projects. A combination of classic looks, a variety of big engines, and the initial popularity upon its release in the early 1970s has led the second-generation Chevelle to be ingrained into the minds of many automotive enthusiasts as one of the greatest muscle cars ever made. Of course, this means that as their popularity continues to rise we get to see lots of these cars still on the street. Whether it's an energetic orange beast rolling down the street and strutting its stuff or a low-slung high powered race-ready monster looking for its next prey, these cars can be found in all facets of the car community.

Under the hood of this black cherry beast is the famous Chevy 6.0-liter LS2 V8 which is pushing out a humble, albeit still quite speedy, 430 horsepower. All of that power is transferred through a rigid T56 manual transmission which allows for smooth transitions between gears. Of course, the four-speed manual transmission combined with the 454 Chevy big-block was the killer combo back in the day. However not only is this new setup faster, but it is also more fun to drive as the driver is now given access to six speeds.

This is a super cool ride with tons of power and a ridiculously fun transmission which allows all of that big power to spin the rear tires. With over 50 years of experience tearing up the streets as one of the world's favorite muscle cars, the 1971 Chevelle is a masterpiece. This particular Chevelle, however, is another beast on its own.
