Should the Big 12 seek to expand, fans would favor adding four Pac-12 schools

After last week’s bombshell news that UCLA and Southern Cal would be joining the Big Ten Conference, there was much speculation abut the future of the Pac-12.

There was also talk about the Big 12, which reportedly could look to poach schools away from the Pac-12 Conference.

The Action Network’s Brett McMurphy reported the Big 12 “may get aggressive” and try to add Colorado, Utah, Arizona and Arizona State.

Those four schools likely would be received warmly by fans of the Big 12.

We asked fans to vote in a poll with this question: “Which Pac-12 schools would you want to see join the Big 12?”

As of Monday morning, the leading vote-getter was a former Big 12 team, Colorado, which had garnered 59% of the vote in this admittedly unscientific poll.

Next was Utah (57%), followed by Arizona (54%) and Arizona State (53%). Those were the only four schools to receive more than 50% of the vote.

Oregon was fifth on the list, followed by Washington, Stanford, Cal, Oregon State and Washington State. The Cougars were barely above the “None” option.

If you want to vote, here is the poll.
