Just when you thought Bianca Andreescu’s year couldn’t get any better, she’s been nominated for two WTA Player Awards to be awarded in December.

The 19-year-old has been nominated for both Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year awards after she was crowned champion of Indian Wells, Rogers Cup and US Open this season.

She ended the 2018 season ranked No. 152, and rose all the way to a career high of No. 4 in October 2019. It’s hard to see any other player more deserving for Newcomer of the Year, at a minimum.

Andreescu’s coach Sylvain Bruneau has also been nominated for WTA Coach of the Year for his help crafting Bianca’s incredible season.

Bianca won two Canadian Sport Awards earlier this fall as Female Summer Athlete of the Year, and captured the People's Choice Award for the Performance of the Year,
