The second campus of the University of California system make the final cut, UCLA offers seven courses, a master's degree and certificate in blockchain to help it remain on the list after falling 22 spots to No. 47.

One of UCLA's for-credit blockchain courses is Blockchain: Future of Absolutely Everything taught by the Comparative Literature department of the College of Letters and Science. It is an "interdisciplinary examination of social, cultural, and scientific workings of blockchain. Critical exploration of ethical, legal, and cultural effects of blockchain’s potential to improve human behavior and impact our sense of individuality." Another for-credit course is by the School of Law, The Blockchain: Technology, Law and Regulation.
The university has one graduate blockchain degree, a master of science in financial technology, as well as a certificate in Blockchain Technology Management.
Blockchain at UCLA is a student-led club that focuses on increasing knowledge about blockchain through research, experiential learning, and lectures. Another student organization, the Crypto Club, focuses on blockchain's most popular application, cryptocurrency.
UCLA is part of the University Blockchain Alliance, a network of nearly 100 universities dedicated to making the blockchain space accessible to students worldwide.
