Goldman explores possible sale of ETF client platform, sources say
(Reuters) -Goldman Sachs is exploring options, including a potential sale, of its ETF Accelerator platform which helps the bank's institutional clients launch their own exchange-traded funds, two sources familiar with the matter told Reuters on Friday. The platform is separate from the ETF business of Goldman Sachs' asset management arm, the source said, who did not want to be identified because the plans are not public. If Goldman sells or shutters the ETF accelerator, it would not affect the firm's own ETF products, which are part of Goldman Sachs Asset Management.

Markets turn focus to Dec. Fed meeting. What's to come in 2025?
US stocks (^DJI,^GSPC, ^IXIC) close mixed as investors digest the November jobs data and what it signals about the US economy and the Federal Reserve's next move. Federated Hermes senior portfolio manager RJ Gallo joins Julie Hyman and Josh Lipton on Market Domination Overtime to discuss what to expect from the Fed's December meeting. Following the jobs report, which Gallo says “was generally favorable,” the portfolio manager tells Yahoo Finance, “I think the Fed is of the view that a positive real Fed funds rate of the magnitude we currently have could be undesirably restrictive, and so their interest now is to become less restrictive. They're not easing to fight a recession. They're easing to try to achieve a soft landing, [though] I would argue the soft landing pretty much has been achieved.” The portfolio manager believes, “It's highly likely that there will be another 25 basis point cut at the December FOMC meeting,” but says the “bigger question is where do we go next year?” Gallo says the Fed’s dot plot will be a “key aspect” of the meeting.
