Ben Napier’s Shirtless Snap Was Just for Erin Napier, but She Had to Share: 'I Kept Opening This Picture'

The 'Home Town' designer has been documenting her husband and HGTV co-star's transformation on Instagram

Erin Napier is proud of her husband Ben, and she isn’t afraid to show it.

On Tuesday’s episode of the Today show, Erin opened up about the shirtless photo of Ben she posted to Instagram for his 40th birthday.

“He sent it to just me and I, like, kept opening this picture,” the Home Town star told Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb of the shirtless gym selfie. “I was like, ‘Babe! I’m so proud of you!’”

Bush Hager responded, “The best is he sent it just for you, and you shared it!”

Erin explained that Ben didn’t care that she shared it for his birthday, saying he said, “I’m not self-conscious about anything.”

In September, the home design expert penned a sweet tribute to Ben. Erin included two photos, including one picture of Ben showing off his upper body in a gym mirror selfie.

Erin also shared a sweet photo of Ben and her father holding a birthday cake that read: “Happy Birthday Phil & Ben,” with the numbers 70 and 40.

“Lordy lordy, Big Ben is 40! He and my daddy both had milestone birthdays this week!” Erin wrote in her caption. “I want to be like you, @scotsman.co: never looking back or feeling sad about our youth getting further away, but always feeling so grateful for right now.”

“You’ve worked so hard this year to rehab your shoulder and transformed yourself in the process,” she added. “The girls and I are so thankful for you. Here’s to 50 more birthdays together. I love you!”

In July, Erin shared a video showing off Ben’s transformation.

“He got hardcore about his health and fitness last winter ahead of his big shoulder surgery that was in March so he could sleep better on his back and lower his BP,” she explained in the caption of her Instagram post.
