Ben Affleck: Wonder Woman ‘Inspires’ Bruce Wayne In Batman V Superman

We’re just over two weeks away from ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’ finally being released.

Obviously, Warner Bros. are now in full on promotional mood with the superhero hybrid, and Ben Affleck, who portrays Bruce Wayne/Batman in the blockbuster, has been revealing further bits of information regarding his character and his relationship with Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman.

Affleck admitted to Entertainment Weekly that because Wonder Woman has been fighting crime for decades before ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’ it “inspires” Batman, especially this “idea that well, if there’s one of these kinds of people out there, then maybe there are in fact more.”

“If there are more, then maybe that’s hopeful and also terrifying to him, because then they could make humans even more powerless – or they could serve on our side. You’ve got to remember that Batman is the world’s greatest detective, and if he suspects there may be more, and if he suspects in particular that Diana may be somebody special, he gets inspired.”

During his discussion Ben Affleck also teased that Batman is excited by the prospect that Wonder Woman is out there, while he also believes it “necessary that he find more of them if they are, in fact, out there.”

It’s no secret that Batman’s fear of alien-life and whether they will assist or destroy mankind drives ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’. Already wary of Superman following his destruction of Metropolis in ‘Man Of Steel’, this fear is then exacerbated by Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor.

No doubt this will be fleshed out not just in ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’ when it’s released at the end of this month on March 25, but when ‘Wonder Woman’ hits next year, and, also, when the much touted solo Batman films are finally confirmed, developed, and are then in cinemas.

Who knows when that will finally be, though.
