Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner may have shocked the world when they announced their split six long years ago—and finalized their divorce in 2018—but despite not being together anymore, Ben and Jen still have a close bond thanks to coparenting. Knowing that, it makes perfect sense that Ben would post a super-sweet tribute to Jen on Instagram for Mother’s Day!

Ben’s Insta featured some v intimate shots of his and Jen’s life with their three kiddos—Violet, Seraphina, and Sam—throughout the years. The cutest one is def Ben and Jen dressed up as the Tin Man and Glinda the Good Witch from The Wizard of Oz, while the kids are in Dorothy, the Scarecrow, and the Lion costumes. “So happy to share these kids with you. Luckiest parents in the world. Thanks for all the good you do,” Ben captioned his tribute. “Happy Mother’s Day. Love, their Dad.”

In an interview with People last year, Ben spoke about what his relationship with Jen has been like after finalizing their divorce. The good news? Even though they’ve split up, Ben has nothing but admiration for Jen. “When you have children with somebody, you’re connected to them forever,” he said. “And I’m very lucky she is the mother of my children.”

Continuing his praise of Jen, Ben said:

“I’m very grateful and respectful of her. Our marriage didn’t work, and that’s difficult. Both of us really believe that it’s important for kids to see their parents respect one another and get along, whether they’re together or not.

“It’s important for my kids to know that I respect and care about Jen and she treats me the same way...I have a lot of respect and gratitude toward her. And I wish her the very best.”
