Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are officially back together. Dig out your low-rise jeans and your flip phones, folks, because it's 2003 all over again!

After months of speculation and paparazzi photos of the former couple running errands together, JLo finally gave fans what they were asking for over the weekend: confirmation that she and Ben Affleck are officially dating.

Making Bennifer's long-awaited reunion Instagram Official™, JLo shared a series of photos on social media to celebrate her 52nd birthday. Buried among a string of selfies was a shot of the pair sharing a kiss, 17 years after they called off their engagement.

Ben and Jen first met on the set of 2001's Gigli, before sparking up a romance a year later and getting engaged. The 'It' couple of the early '00s postponed their wedding at short notice, blaming intense media attention, and went their separate ways four months on.

Both halves of Bennifer eventually went on to marry, have children, and later divorce – Ben with Jennifer Garner and Jen with Marc Anthony – but it appears life has since found a way to bring the iconic celebrity couple back together.

Things are clearly going well for the pair in the relationship department, and the same can be said for their careers, too.

Lopez was recently reported to be in talks to star as the lead in upcoming Netflix thriller The Mother, while Affleck is gearing up to reprise his role as Batman for DC's The Flash.
