Fantastic Four star Ebon Moss-Bachrach has revealed that the cast of the film have a group chat.

The MCU adaptation of Marvel's first family was recently announced, with the The Bear star taking on the role of Ben Grimm – AKA The Thing.

He will star in the film alongside The Last of Us's Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, The Crown star Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm and Stranger Things' Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm.

Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Moss-Bachrach said: "There is a group text. Pedro started a group text a couple days ago."

He said that the morale in the group chat is high – though added that he wasn't sure who's saying what.

"I have his number, so it says Pedro Pascal, and then there’s two +44 [the UK country code] numbers. I don’t know which one’s Vanessa and which one is Joseph," he joked.

"But everybody said something! Everyone’s put a little image or a sticker or a gif or something out there, so people are invested, I guess? No one’s being coy! Everyone showed up. It’s nice, it’s nice."

Moss-Bachrach added that his performance as the rocky-skinned Thing will be "mostly performance-capture", rather than a suit like Michael Chiklis wore the 2005 and 2007 adaptations.

"I don’t think it’s the suit," he said. "I think in the past they’ve done a suit — Michael Chiklis wore a suit. Apparently, the suit was really uncomfortable — we’re past that, I think.

"It’s a little kinda cosplay. It’s a little amateur, that stuff now, with the technology we have."

The Fantastic Four will be released on July 25, 2025.
