The BBC is set to air Lily Savage’s Blankety Blank in honour of Paul O’Grady this weekend.

The legendary comedian died “unexpectedly but peacefully” in bed on Tuesday evening age 67.

In the classic episode of the game show, O’Grady as his drag queen alterego, Lily Savage, stars alongside guests, Rebecca Callard, Sophie Lawrence, Davina McCall, Sir Ian McKellen, Gray O’Brien and Dale Winton.

The broadcaster’s advertised schedule will be changed to accommodate the instalment of the hit family show on Saturday evening.

The announcement follows confirmation from ITV that they will air a special to honour the TV presenter on Sunday, April 2, titled For the Love of Paul O’Grady.

“It is with great sadness that I inform you that Paul has passed away unexpectedly but peacefully yesterday evening,” he said.

“He will be greatly missed by his loved ones, friends, family, animals and all those who enjoyed his humour, wit and compassion.
