‘I bashed her head in.’ Teen tells 911 he killed his mom, Washington officials say

A 17-year-old called 911 and told the operator he “finally” killed his mom, according to court documents from the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

Jordan Flores is charged with first-degree murder after he allegedly killed his mother on Oct. 13 in Seattle, probable cause documents say. Flores called 911 about the incident that morning, according to documents.

“I did it. I finally did it,” the caller, who identified himself as Flores, told the dispatcher.

“Okay, what did you do?” the dispatcher asked.

“I killed my mom,” Flores replied.

“Okay, where are you?”

“My mom’s house. Please send the cops so they can come arrest me,’ Flores said.

After getting Flores’s location, the dispatcher asked him how he killed his mother, according to documents.

“I bashed her head in and used two knives,” Flores told the dispatcher.

Flores said that he killed his mom, Dana Flores, about five minutes prior to calling, documents state.

“She may be alive, I don’t know,” Flores said.

Flores told the dispatcher he lived in a group home and was supposed to be on a walk, according to documents. Officers found his mother lying on the floor with blood surrounding her head, the documents state.

An autopsy revealed Flores’s mother had four stab wounds on her torso and blunt force trauma to the back of her head, according to documents. While the court documents do not detail the cause of her death, they do say her death was ruled a homicide.

After he was taken into custody, Flores asked for an attorney, so investigators did not interview him, according to the documents.

Records show a series of previous domestic violence reports between Flores and his mother, documents state. He was arrested in June for domestic violence assault after he allegedly broke his mom’s arm, according to documents.

“When contacted by (a Seattle Police Department) officer...Jordan stated that he felt like causing additional harm to his mother and that if he were to go home with her, he would kill her with a kitchen knife,” the documents state.

Flores previously accused his mom of abuse, neglect and “other inappropriate behavior,” according to documents.

A staff member at the group home where Flores lived told dispatchers that Flores said “the previous night that he wanted to kill his mother so she couldn’t hurt him anymore.”

Staff told investigators Flores lived at the group home during the week but visited his mom on the weekends, documents state. One weekend he called staff at the home and said he wanted to come back because “he was thinking of breaking the window in the car and using the glass to stab his mother to death,” according to documents.

Flores’s arraignment is scheduled for Oct. 29, Casey McNerthney, a spokesman for the prosecuting attorney’s office, said in an email. The prosecution requested his bail be set at $2 million, documents state.
