Baltimore MONSE Director Shantay Jackson resigns

Shantay Jackson, the director of the Baltimore Mayor's Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement, has resigned, the 11 News I-Team confirmed Thursday afternoon. In a tweet Thursday afternoon, Jackson wrote: "So that there is NO question: I was NOT asked or told to resign. NOBODY'S fabrications informed MY decision ... AND I'm truly looking forward to what's coming next for me and for @BaltimoreMONSE in our service to this city that we love! Stay tuned!" The mayor's office later announced that Jackson's resignation takes effect on June 30.
