Several London Underground stations are closed due to workers striking while two Tube lines were halted because of a casualty on the track. Transport for London marked five stations as closed on the network at 10.30am on Friday due to the Transport Salaried Staffs' Association action. Daimler Truck must reach a new labor contract with over 7,300 hourly workers at six facilities in the U.S. South by the end of Friday or face a possible strike by the United Auto Workers (UAW) union members.
