Baltimore County spending $154M to build new school

Baltimore County's aging Lansdowne High School will be replaced with a new, $154 million structure. Baltimore County Public Schools planned a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday to announce its plans to replace the school that was built in the early 1960s and is showing its age. The new building will be 100,000 square feet larger than the current one. It will come with more state-of-the-art features and have room for 300 additional seats. The plans come after almost a decade of parent and public pressure over unsafe and unfit building conditions.
