Baker Mayfield gets fired up during coin toss when KU players refuse to shake his hand

Kansas probably shouldn’t be giving Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield any more incentive to throw for 500 yards and five touchdowns. Alas, the coin toss before Saturday’s game between the Sooners and Jayhawks afforded Mayfield the opportunity to get even more excited.

As the Heisman favorite stepped forward to shake a Kansas player’s hand, none of Kansas’ captains took him up on the offer. So Mayfield stepped back and did his trademark sarcastic clap.

He did the clap a week ago to TCU players.

Then during the game, Mayfield appeared to turn to the Kansas stands and tell fans that the team has one win and it should stick to basketball.

In addition to being the best player in college football in 2017, Mayfield is also the most fun thanks to his antics and trash talking. While we understand how he’s polarizing — especially to fans of other Big 12 schools — college football is going to be a far more boring place in 2018. Who else is going to be planting flags on opponents’ logos after big road wins?
