‘Bachelor in Paradise': Aaron Clancy Teases That Viewers Will ‘See a Different Side’ of Him Upon His Return to the Beach

Bachelor Nation’s favorite bromance is headed back to the beach on Episode 3 of “Bachelor in Paradise.” That’s right, Aaron Clancy and James Bonsall are taking another shot at love.

Fans will remember that, although both men were first cast as contestants on Katie Thurston’s season of “The Bachelorette,” they hit the sand for the first time last season, and both had been forming some romantic connections when they ultimately decided to leave Paradise together rather than continue toward a potential engagement.

“I figured why not give it a shot?” Clancy told TheWrap of his return for Season 8. “Things happens a little bit differently and and you’re gonna see different side of me that you maybe didn’t see before.”

The promos for Season 8 have not disappointed in terms of teasing what’s to come. One clip shows an emotional Clancy speaking with Genevieve Parisi, who he previously sparked romance rumors with and has teased that he may have gone to Paradise to pursue.

“They love using that clip,” he laughed when asked about it. Though he remained tight-lipped about what, exactly, transpired between the two of them on the beach, he added: “I’m just gonna say real emotions were definitely involved.”

Since this isn’t his first rodeo, Clancy said he approached Paradise with more assurance this season since, as he learned, anything can happen on the beach.

“I do know the feeling of the unexpected surprises that they can throw on you and how to react to them,” he said. “So really helps me be more rational, less emotional, less reactionary, and just approach things in a better way.”

Clancy and Bonsall will both arrive in Paradise during Tuesday night’s episode, presumably following the first rose ceremony of the season. “Bachelor in Paradise” airs at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
