What October's full moon means for you

The next Full Moon is on 9th October, in the sun sign of Libra (aka the people pleaser) and therefore its opposing sign of Aries (aka, a bit demanding...) Full Moons always bring a ~pause~ in the month to reflect, ponder, contemplate, review, and release. More thought than action. The theme of your musings this week should be about your boundaries; in relationships, work, health, lifestyle, ambitions, needs.

Where do you draw lines and do you hold to them? Where do you feel encroached upon or overwhelmed? Where do you suspect you might be pushing too hard on another or in an area of life? Think about your circle of influence. This is where the bulk of your focus and energy should flow. Is that the case?

Let the tarot guide you towards where you might need to make a boundary adjustment…

ARIES - Nine of Coins

Review how much energy you are investing in your longer term, vs immediate, future. The Nine of Coins hints there are rewards and riches to be had down the line if only you would put the right work in now. Most good things take time to develop and come to fruition. It’s time to sow some new seeds - especially in the areas of career, money, and health - that can blossom into fulfilling and positive harvests to reap ahead of you. I know you live firmly in the here and now. But do look ahead and take time to work on your long game.

TAURUS - Ace of Wands

The Ace of Wands wants you to address your work / life balance by adding a new hobby, exercise, course or pastime into your schedule, so that you'll switch off from work and duty in order to actually do the new thing. Consider travel, education, exercise, creativity and socialising as options. Make it something that requires your presence regularly, but not onerously, and that you feel inspired and excited by. Start this now, and see it through the autumn and winter. This is going to help you recalibrate and keep work stuff AT work.

GEMINI - Three of Wands

You can be quite rigid (surprisingly, for such a flexible person) when it comes to your own schedule and to-do list. Uninvited or unexpected guests or activities don’t always get a warm response. You have quite high boundaries for your time and space. The Three of Wands asks you to open up a bit, because you’re putting people off and denying yourself access to great opportunities, just because they arrived spontaneously vs with a written invitation. Be conscious of going with the flow more. Be open to the unexpected. Leave a bit of ~wriggle room~ in your plans.

CANCER - Knight of Wands

This Full Moon, think about how much, and how often, you’re really having FUN right now. Something has faded a little within and your spark has dimmed recently; you don’t enjoy the things you used to… and you’ve just kinda stopped doing stuff. Enough! Cancer, you’re a charmer and we need you firing on all cylinders. The Knight of Wands asks you to prepare a whole two weeks’ worth of fun and games. Travel, play, socialise, flirt, dance, learn, experiment, laugh, relax. Do your favourite things and try one NEW thing for every favourite thing. Introduce fresh ideas and energy. Time to wake up again.

LEO - Four of Swords

Burn out. It’s an old friend of yours and you’ve been in this company before, largely because of your relentless FOMO. All Leos love to do everything, enjoy the good times, be involved, be needed, be invited. It’s a bit exhausting being you sometimes. You have let your boundaries disappear, replaced by this thirst for excitement and newness.

The Four of Swords advises total and deep rest this Full Moon. Reset your energy, clear your schedule, deeply relax, restore your vibe. Do not just run back into everything, be more measured and cautious. Invest wisely. Be choosy.

VIRGO - The Empress

Love and family, home is where the heart is, blood is thicker than water. These are the messages from The Empress. Don’t seek what’s out there so much looking at what you already have right there under your nose. Spend time this Full Moon looking at the sources of love is your life. Who is there for you? Are you prioritising them? Are you spending the appropriate amount of time with them and enjoying this relationship as much as you should? If not, what’s getting in the way? Is it really more important? Recalibrate so that you can spend more time with those you love and like.

LIBRA - Six of Swords

The Six of Swords suggests that you have overstayed your welcome someplace, or with someone, or in a role. You knew, long ago, that this wasn’t right for you, but you’ve lingered on, been persuaded to keep trying, been browbeaten into sticking with it. Enough’s enough, Libra. Draw the line this Full Moon. This ~thing~ is not for you and you’ve tried your best to adapt and make it work. It just doesn’t work. Acknowledge it, end it, and move on feeling lighter and brighter. This is going to be a liberation and a relief, vs a sad event. It’s a ~good~ goodbye.

SCORPIO - Nine of Cups

Why aren’t you focusing on your heartfelt desires or ambitions? Why are you not letting yourself believe in your dreams? Scorpio, you CAN do this. You might not be able to become anything you want, but you can become ALL that you are. The Nine of Cups asks you to take a goal or ambition, make it bigger and bolder and brighter, visualise it being a part of your life and how amazing that would be. Let your imagination soar. And then set to, without boundaries or doubts, and manifest this in your life. It’s time to make it happen. You have got cosmic backing.

SAGITTARIUS - Six of Cups

Usually it’s healthy to move on from the past, leaving things as they are, turning our gaze ahead to ‘What’s next?' However, the Six of Cups implores you to lower the drawbridge you’ve pulled up on your past and take another look. Someone or something is waving desperately at you and wants to remain a part of your life, to join you in your future pathway. They have proven themselves, they still have something to offer. Wander down Memory Lane this Full Moon and remember someone, something or someplace you might’ve blocked out or forgotten. Make a move to reunite and rekindle this bond, because it’s worth it.

CAPRICORN - Ace of Swords

You are a cautious, tactful, and careful person. You don’t speak for the sake of it. This quiet confidence can be misinterpreted by some as a lack of content, which they then want to fill with their own ideas, opinions and agendas. Someone has been an overbearing presence in your life recently, and they have crossed boundaries you hold dear. Enough. The Ace of Swords reveals it’s time to express yourself, reveal your authentic thoughts, push back, and maybe have a tough dialogue about them winding their neck in! Do it now and save yourself more pain down the line.

AQUARIUS - Ten Of Swords

A boundary of yours was crossed a long time ago, and then repeatedly since, by someone or something which has actually become quite a negative, if not toxic, influence in your life. The time has come, Aquarius, to exit this scenario and liberate yourself from having to deal with this sh** for one moment longer. You have tried. It’s not going to change or improve. The only thing left to do here is to remove yourself from the scene. Consider, this Full Moon, how you do this as quickly and painlessly as possible. And then… just do it.

PISCES - Seven of Swords

The Seven of Swords represents shady, shifty, difficult, untrustworthy people and influences and advises you to be cautious, defensive, shrewd and protective of yourself. So, Pisces, look around you. Who crosses the line with you? Who takes advantage? Who has proven to be untrustworthy in the past? Make moves to protect yourself from them. Make sure you’re not exposed or vulnerable to people who simply don’t have your best interests at heart. You’re too good for this, you deserve better. Get rid of the rubbish my friend.
