Aubrey Plaza is having a Hot Girl Summer. The Parks and Recreation star has been out and about in New York City lately, and may we humbly suggest that she is *smashing* heatwave dressing. From her off-duty looks to her work wardrobe, she's giving us the style inspo we need to stay cute without melting. Let's review, shall we?

First up is a très chic cream co-ord, anchored by a flowing, softly pleated maxi skirt. The matching crop top has a flattering sweetheart neckline, and spaghetti straps for maximum airflow. (Always important.) She's chosen the perfect simple accessories to match: classic black sunnies, gold jewellery, nude mule sandals, and a black Bottega Veneta clutch. This is summer in the city, done right:

It's breathable! It's floaty! Her crop top and maxi skirt combo is what we'll be reaching for when it's so hot out that you fancy wearing...a bikini. Next up, she gives us a lesson in dressing for the office. (Well, if you work somewhere with a slightly more relaxed dress code, that is.)

Like a true fashion genius, Plaza put a navy blue halter top with a grey oversized suit, and wow. We have Gen Z to thank for the 2000s halter top trend revival, but if it's a bit revealing for you, or it just reminds you too much of your teen years, this is a grownup way to wear it. (Paired best with Louboutin courts and an 'IDGAF' attitude, naturally.)

The star has been making press appearances to promote her new projects, Spin Me Round and Emily the Criminal, and she's really nailing the profesh looks. Like these cream separates. A lacy blouse keeps a bit of breeze flowing through, and her skort paired with cream heels has an ultra leg-lengthening effect.
