Lyndon Arthur and Anthony Yarde go head to head in a huge rematch in London this evening.

Arthur won by split decision to retain his Commonwealth belt in the first meeting last year, though his opponent contested the decision and was adamant he did enough to win.

Yarde has come up short in the two biggest fights of his career to date. He put in an impressive performance against Sergey Kovalev in 2019 when fighting for the WBO light-heavyweight world title, but was stopped in the 11th round in Russia.

The 30-year-old did little for much of the first fight against Arthur, before picking up the pace late on but by that point it proved to be too late.

He has fought once since then, stopping Alex Theran inside a round.

Arthur will believe that with another victory over Yarde on Saturday, he can propel himself up to world level in the division.

He is unbeaten in his 19 professional bouts, and beat Davide Faraci in July in his first fight back in the ring since last December’s victory. Arthur injured his hand in the warm-up before beating Yarde, and will be hoping that means he can produce a more comprehensive victory this time.
