Arsenal host Newcastle this afternoon, looking to put last week’s disappointment behind them and get back to winning ways.

The Gunners were beaten 4-0 by Liverpool at Anfield, with Mikel Arteta’s side particularly struggling in the second-half against a rampant home team.

But before that defeat Arsenal had been on a good run, and they still sit fifth in the table and only three points off the top four. With trips to Man United and Everton to follow in the next week, they will be keen to pick up the three points.

They welcome a Newcastle side to the Emirates that will have new manager Eddie Howe on the touchline for the first time since he took over.

Howe was forced to miss the 3-3 draw against Brentford last weekend after a positive Covid-19 test, but he will be back with his side for the trip to North London.
