Army will meet Missouri in the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl on Dec. 22 at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, officials announced Sunday.

Army (8-3) will be making its fourth appearance in the game, which often includes a U.S. Military Academy football team. Army, which is riding a four-game winning streak and wraps up its regular season Saturday against Navy, is the only program ever to win the Armed Forces Bowl three times (2010, 2017 and 2018).

The Black Knights, featuring their triple-option offense, rank second in the NCAA in rushing at 301.2 yards per game and have scored a nation’s best 43 rushing touchdowns.

Missouri (6-6, 3-5 Southeastern Conference) will be making its 34th bowl appearance and first since 2018.

The Tigers also rely on their rushing attack behind senior running back Tyler Badie, who has set a school single-season record with 1,604 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns. Badie is a finalist for the Doak Walker Award.

The bowl matchup will mark the fifth meeting between Missouri and Army. The Tigers lead the series 3-1, most recently winning 23-10 on Sept. 11, 1982 in Columbia.

Since 2014, the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl is the highest scoring bowl game in the nation with a total of 511 points scored.

This is the 11th time in the past 15 years that the game has featured an academy team.

The bowl game kicks off at 7 p.m. and will air on ESPN. For ticket information, go to
