Arizona Man Uses Summer Sizzle to Cook Burgers in Hot Car

Phoenix-area man Joe Brown has put the local summer sizzle to good use by turning his furnace of a car into the perfect place to cook some tasty burgers.

Brown, who has also baked a cake in his car this summer, went for a savory snack this time, placing two patties and some buttered-up buns on the dashboard as the temperature inside passed 180 degrees Fahrenheit.

A couple of hours later, the patties “well done” and the buns “extra toasty,” he said. Credit: Joe Brown via Storyful

Today we're going to see if it's hot enough to make hamburgers inside of my car in the Arizona heat. And it is already summer here in Arizona, it's over 100 degrees. So I have a feeling this is going to turn out really well.

And to season it, I threw some salt and some pepper. And if we're going to have a good hamburger, we need to butter those buns and throw some seasoning on there so they're nice and toasty. This is what the hamburgers look like. I'm going to leave it in my car for a couple of hours where it is currently over 186 degrees. Come back later to see if we have a nice juicy hamburger.

Earlier today, I left hamburgers inside of my car, and about two hours later this is what it looks like. And in my car it's currently over 200 degrees. So I know these hamburgers turned out well. And this is what the hamburgers looked like. The patties were well done and that's how I like my hamburger, so I know this is going to be good.

And the buns were extra toasty. And with my condiments, I always put a happy face. I know I'm not the only one who puts a happy face on my burger still. And this is what it looks like. If you're ever too lazy to cook on your stove, just cook in your car. This burger was a definite 10 out of 10.
