Are These Quentin Tarantino’s Final Two Films?

Quentin Tarantino has repeatedly insisted that he will only make 10 films. Currently, he’s made 8, and the fact that the famous filmmaker’s oeuvre might be coming to a close has his fans sick with worry.

But even if Quentin Tarantino lives up to his promise that still means that we get two more Quentin Tarantino films. And now the award-winning writer and director of ‘Pulp Fiction’, ‘Reservoir Dogs’, ‘Inglorious Basterds’, and, most recently, ‘The Hateful Eight’, has teased what they might be about.

Tarantino made this admission to IGN, teasing that there is one specific, famously violent, genre that he believes his skills would be perfect for.

“I think I’ve done all the ones that I’ve had a burning desire to do,” Tarantino admitted. “A couple of things left that would be fun is I like the idea of doing a ‘30s gangster movie, so like ‘Dillinger’ or ‘Bonnie & Clyde’ kind of stuff. That’d be kind of cool.”

I think there’s an awful lot of movie fans who would adore to see a Quentin Tarantino gangster film. In fact, just him merely mentioning it is enough for folks to insist it should now become a necessity.

But what other cinematic delight is Quentin Tarantino currently mulling over? Well, he’s also interested in doing a film set in Hollywood, which would revolve around the powers that be in Tinseltown.

“And I like the idea of doing a Hollywood movie one of these days,” Quentin Tarantino continued. “A movie that takes place in Hollywood. Maybe not now, but in a different era. That could be really cool.”

Or, Quentin Tarantino could stop breaking our hearts, admit that he wants to carry on beyond ten films, and immediately get to work on them. Sorry I’m just sour. Whatever Tarantino produces next there will still be scores of fans hell bent on devouring it. Let’s just hope it’s as golden as his cinematic output.
