Yahoo Movies Aquaman 2's James Wan responds to cut Batman cameo rumours
Aquaman 2's director James Wan has weighed in on the rumours of a cut Batman scene in the upcoming film.
Earlier this year, The Hollywood Reporter reported that Batman actors Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton had been involved in filming amid a change in release dates between Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and The Flash.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly about the sequel, Wan explained that despite all the chaos that came from reshoots and other Marvel movies changing release dates, the film's plot has stayed the same.

"The tricky thing early on was not knowing whether Aquaman would come out first or come out after [The Flash]," he said. "So, we just had to be prepared."
He continued: "At the end of the day, the best thing I would say about this movie is that it is not connected in any way to any of those films. That's the bottom line."
However, the director remained tight-lipped on whether or not Batman would be appearing in the film, adding: "You're going to have to wait for the movie to come out."
Aquaman actor Jason Momoa had previously teased Affleck's involvement in Aquaman 2 last year, sharing a series of photos of himself with the actor on set at Warner Bros studios.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is set to be released later this year, starring Momoa as the titular superhero alongside Amber Heard as Mera and Patrick Wilson as Orm.

Also reprising their roles are Willem Dafoe, Temuera Morrison and Dolph Lundgren, while newcomers include Indya Moore and Pilou Asbæk.
A full trailer is set to drop on September 14, with a teaser clip revealing a showdown between Aquaman and Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II). In it, the villain declares: "I'm gonna kill Aquaman and destroy everything that he holds dear." Oh, dear.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is set for release on December 20 in the US and December 29 in the UK.
