Antonio Brown Meltdown: Reaction To Ex-Steelers Star's Outburst

PITTSBURGH, PA — Ex-Steeler Antonio Brown continues to make headlines for the wrong reasons. He did so again Sunday in a bizarre mid-game outburst that ended his time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

With the Buccaneers behind the New York Jets 24-10 in the third quarter, Brown removed his uniform and pads and then walked off the field shirtless. He tossed his gloves and shirt into the stands, then waved to fans as he jogged through the end zone and then into the tunnel leading to the locker room.

Here's what people across the country are saying about Brown:

Shalise Manza Young, Yahoo Sports: "Every one of Brown's blowups, on and off the field, have been excused away because he can catch a football. Bucs coach Bruce Arians had said upon signing Brown in late October 2020 that the receiver would be gone if he had one screw-up. Many people thought faking his COVID vaccination card was that screw-up, but it wasn't to Arians, who just days ago told reporters in Tampa he "didn't care" about people who were critical of the team's decision to keep Brown after serving his three-game suspension."

Jarret Bell, USA Today: "Here we go again. For the last time. Antonio Brown did what? Sure, there’s a strong chance that the combustible Brown will someday make news again for another dramatic episode. But Brown’s last straw has officially snapped in half."

Tony Dungy, "Football Night in America": "I’ve said this in the past. I feel sorry for Antonio Brown. He’stalented but he needs help. The NFL … we’re not doing him any favors if we keep signing him and keep rewarding this behavior. Don’t sign him until he gets some help."

Terry Bradshaw, Fox Sports: “Put him in a straitjacket and take him to some hospital.”
