Animal Rights Protesters Scale UK's Environmental Protection Department Ahead of COP26

Animal rights protesters scaled the UK’s Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs in London on the morning of October 26, demanding the UK “defund meat”.

Animal Rebellion said in a statement that protesters would “remain on the building, suspended in hammocks, until UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson pledges to cut all taxpayer support for animal agriculture and promises to urge all world leaders to do the same when they attend the COP26 summit later this week.”

This footage shows the protesters on the side of the building as police look on. Police said they were “engaging” with the group, adding that no arrests had been made. Credit: @dillon.p_photography via Storyful
