Angels security guard on Blue Jays: 'Definitely the most fun I've heard a team have'

While the first two months have had their ups and downs, the Toronto Blue Jays sure sound like they’re enjoying their recent hot swing.

At least that’s what one Los Angeles Angels security guard outside the Blue Jays clubhouse said Friday night following Toronto's 4-3 road win.

As winners of seven of their past 10, and winners of three straight for the first time in over a month, the Blue Jays partied like it was 1999, and it doesn’t sound like they were all too subtle about it.

"It's definitely the most fun I've heard a team have," the security guard said, per Gregor Chisholm of the Toronto Star.

This Blue Jays group definitely knows how to have a good time, especially guys like Lourdes Gurriel Jr., who went 3-for-4 while driving in the go-ahead run in the ninth inning. Closer Jordan Romano sealed the victory by striking out pinch-hitter Shohei Ohtani on the final pitch of the game.

The lively festivities aren't a new thing in 2022. Just last season, Alek Manoah, who spun a masterful pitching performance in Friday's win by striking out nine over six innings, posted a video via his Instagram of the team’s lively clubhouse at the Rogers Centre.

Here's hoping the Los Angeles security guard hears a lot more commotion from the Blue Jays' clubhouse over the rest of the weekend. They’ll look to clinch a series win against the Halos on Saturday and stretch their winning streak to four games, which would be tied for their longest of the year.

Yusei Kikuchi takes the mound for the visitors against Los Angeles right-hander Michael Lorenzen. First pitch is scheduled for 10:07 p.m. ET.
