Andrew Lincoln Admits His Love Actually Character 'Is A Stalker'

Were we all too wrapped up in the romance of ‘Love Actually’ to spot that Andrew Lincoln’s character was a bit, well, stalky?

It seems so, and Mr Lincoln himself is in full agreement.

Speaking to The Wrap, he laughed: “He is a stalker.

“That was my question to Richard Curtis, ‘Do you not think we’re sort of borderline stalker territory here?’

“And he said, ‘No, no. Not with you playing it, darling. You’ll be alright.'”

In the movie, it emerges that Lincoln’s character Mark is infatuated with his best friend’s wife Juliet, played by Keira Knightley.

In his iconic scene – perhaps the most memorable of the movie – he professes his love for her in the form of large cards, outside her house.

Juliet kisses Mark, but unlike other characters in the movie, he doesn’t end up with the girl.

“I quite like the fact that I’m in one of the most romantic movies playing the only guy who doesn’t get the girl,” he added.

“It’s like I did this film called 'Moonshot’. Everybody else got to the moon and I was the only guy who didn’t go. So I think it’s a running thing in my characters. I’m the guy who doesn’t get the girl or go to the moon.”

Sorry Andrew…

Maybe he’ll end up getting the girl (Alexandra Breckenridge) in ‘The Walking Dead’.

Season six of the apocalyptic zombie drama resumes on February 15 on Fox.
