Amy Schumer is opening up about several procedures she’s had to feel like herself again.
The comedian, 40, shared two pics on Instagram of herself at the beach in a black long-sleeved one-piece and talked about how she’s feeling “good” these days.
She revealed that she had liposuction and endometriosis surgery.

Amy said that she “never thought I would do anything,” adding “but talk to me after your uterus doesn't contract for 2.5 years and you turn 40.”
Amy shared the same photos of herself in her Instagram Stories, captioning one, “40” and the other “170 lbs.”
People cheered her on in the comments. “Looking good girl,” one wrote. “You look as good as you feel,” another said.
In case you’re not familiar with it, the “endo” Amy referenced is endometriosis, a painful condition where tissue similar to the tissue that normally lines your uterus (the endometrium) grows outside your uterus, per the Mayo Clinic. Endometriosis can cause intense symptoms like painful periods, pain with sex, excessive bleeding, and infertility.
Amy revealed in September that she had both her uterus and appendix taken out after being diagnosed with endometriosis. “All my lifelong pain explained and lifted out of my body,” she wrote. “I am already a changed person. I am busting with joy for the new energy I have to be with my son.”
Amy also included a recording of herself after her operation, where she said her doctor told her they removed 30 specimens from her body—and 26 were endometriosis. Her appendix was also removed because endometriosis "attacked" it, she said.
Amy didn’t reveal any more details of her liposuction, but she’s sounded open to plastic surgery in the past.
“I don't judge anybody for having plastic surgery at all,” she told Cosmopolitan. “I think the industry surrounding it and the drive to do it and how it seems like usually, it's never enough—I think that's bad. I don't think it's great for people.”
Amy looks super happy, if her latest Instagram posts are any indication—and that's all that matters.
