Oil declines amid rising US crude inventories, Sino-US tariff war
SINGAPORE (Reuters) -Oil prices slid on Wednesday as rising stockpiles in the U.S. and market worries about a new Sino-U.S. trade war offset President Donald Trump's renewed push to eliminate Iranian crude exports. Brent crude futures were down 39 cents, or 0.51%, at $75.81 a barrel by 0427 GMT. Prices rebounded, however, after Trump restored the "maximum pressure" campaign on Iran to curtail its nuclear programme he enacted in his first term that cut Iranian crude exports to zero.

The 49th hereditary imam or spiritual leader of the world's 15 million Ismaili Muslims, his name also became synonymous with success as a racehorse owner, with the thoroughbred Shergar among his most famous. The multi-millionaire, perhaps billionaire, also enjoyed a lavish lifestyle, characterised by private jets, a $200 million super-yacht and a private island in the Bahamas.

The Trump administration said Tuesday that it is pulling almost all U.S. Agency for International Development workers off the job and out of the field worldwide, moving to all but end a six-decade mission to shore up American security by fighting starvation, funding education and working to end epidemics. The administration notified USAID workers in emails and a notice posted online, the latest in a steady dismantling of the aid agency by returning political appointees from President Donald Trump's first term and billionaire Elon Musk's government-efficiency teams who call much of the spending on programs overseas wasteful. Other options had included closures of smaller USAID missions and partial closures of larger ones.
