'Allegiant' Stars Reveal Who's Smooching on Set and Secrets of Shailene Woodley's Barbeque

“Every second lunchtime we play Kiss Chase,” Allegiant star Theo James said in describing how close the cast of The Divergent Series has grown over the course of shooting three movies now. Kiss Chase, for those who didn’t grow up in Great Britain like Mr. James, is described by Urban Dictionary as “a horrifically traumatizing game, as played by primary and junior school children, in which girls chase around any boy who they want to kiss.”

Shailene Woodley, who headlines the series as Tris, took it to the next level. “We all just kiss each other all time,” she told us (watch above). “We greet one another with really passionate kisses. All at the same time, and all at once.”

They’re joking (we think). But there’s no doubt the cast has developed some serious camaraderie since first uniting for 2014’s Divergent. Just check out Miles Teller and Zoë Kravitz , who locked hands for the entirety of our interview. “It took her three movies to finally give up,” Teller said.

One major benefit to befriending Woodley (group kisses aside) is the actress’s reputation for cooking for her cast mates.

“There’s always some sort of bacon-wrapped date, or some bacon-wrapped situation” Woodley said of what was on the menu this time around. Spilled Kravitz: “She definitely brings snacks. She likes to share food, whether she made it or not.” To which Teller added: “Shai, at any given time, is carrying something in a jar. There’s something in a jar. Though you’re not sure what it is.”

The Divergent stars can look forward to some more Woodley culinary goodies when they regroup to shoot the saga’s final chapter, Ascendant, in May.
